Summary:
Stillwater Center in Montgomery County has two very important reasons to celebrate. On October 29, 2008, Stillwater Center was issued a 3-year license by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities. The state can issue one, two or three year licenses.
"A 3-year license is truly a vote of confidence from the Ohio Department of MR/DD. The staff members at Stillwater Center are incredibly proud of this accomplishment," said Director, Sue L. Curtis.
On the same day, Stillwater Center received a $5,865 rebate check from the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation. This safety rebate was issued after Stillwater Center met the participation requirements of the FY08 Safety Council Discount Program.
Stillwater Center is home to almost 100 Montgomery County residents who have the most severe and profound mental retardation, are physically challenged and/or have significant medical needs. Stillwater Center is owned and operated by the Board of Montgomery County Commissioners. Stillwater Center is located at 8100 N. Main Street in Dayton.
