“Celebrate Fatherhood – Montgomery County 2012”

Friday, June 15, 2012 – 6 p.m.:

Ice Cream Social for fathers and their children beginning at 6:00pm at Grace United Methodist Church, 1001 Harvard Boulevard (on Salem Avenue between Harvard Boulevard and Dartmouth Drive); Dayton, Ohio.  The Friday activities will also include brief workshops emphasizing the importance of fatherhood and what fathers can do to improve their relationships with their children.  Those wanting to attend will need to call 937-238-5879 or 937-496-7569 to reserve a spot for this free event.   

Saturday, June 16, 2012 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: 

This Celebrate Fatherhood Festival is FREE and open to the public.  It will be held at Harvard Campus of the Omega Baptist Church, 1810 Harvard Blvd. in Dayton.  The activities will include the Essay Contest Winner presentations, speakers on fatherhood issues and programs, entertainment, music and free food (hot dogs, chips, water).  We will also have booth areas for agencies and businesses that will provide social service information and have free items to give away. It’s sure to be a fun filled day of entertainment and summer fun.
