Whipp Road Scheduled to Reopen

Paul Gruner, P.E., P.S., Montgomery County Engineer, wishes to announce that the pipe replacement project on West Whipp Road in Washington Township is nearing completion, and the road will be reopened.

The project required closing Whipp Road to through traffic just west of Far Hills Avenue (State Route 48) on Monday, August 1, 2011. The project is on schedule, and Whipp Road will be reopened to all traffic on Wednesday, August 31, 2011.

This work is somewhat weather dependent, and updates will be communicated as necessary.

The patience shown by the public and the businesses in the vicinity of the project during this time is greatly appreciated.

About the County Engineer:

County Engineers in Ohio are required by law to be registered as both Professional Engineers (P.E.) and Professional Surveyors (P.S.) They are responsible for the maintenance and construction of county roads and maintenance and construction of bridges on county roads, township roads, and certain streets within municipalities. They are also responsible for maintaining land surveying records, checking the accuracy and adequacy of recorded land transfer records, and establishing or re-establishing certain land survey monuments.
