Courthouse Square Calendar - May - December 2011

Courthouse Square, operated by the Board of County Commissioners, is an outdoor entertainment facility located at the corner of Third and Main Streets in the heart of downtown Dayton. Since its dedication in 1974, the Square has been known as THE place to see and be seen.

Lunchtime vendors are located on the square during the summer months.  A farmers market is scheduled weekly during the growing season.

Courthouse Square is open to any organization or individual who wishes to organize an event. Nonprofit groups are permitted to use the Square to promote upcoming events or hold fundraisers. For-profit groups are permitted to use the Square for promotional activities only.

Many different events are held at Courthouse Square every year. From concerts to special events, noontime events and fund-raisers, the Square is the place to gather downtown. Contact the Courthouse Square Events Coordinator at 937-477-5268 for more information and policies.   For more information regarding the use of the Old Courthouse facility, please contact Dayton History at (937) 293-2841.
