MONCO Enterprises Inc. Secure Document Destruction (SDD) will host a free opportunity to shred personal documents, old tax information and confidential papers from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2011, at their new shredding operations center, 700 Liberty Lane, Dayton, Ohio 45449. The building is located immediately behind the new West Carrollton YMCA.
 
MONCO is a not-for profit organization administered by the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) that helps adult individuals with disabilities find employment.  They offer unique and personalized services based on interests, skills and abilities, to the individuals they serve. The Board of DDS is a Human Services Levy funded agency.
 
This business is an innovative employment opportunity for people with disabilities.  MONCO now has a permanent facility dedicated to the SDD document shredding process. With the sorting and shredding equipment partially funded by a $65,000 grant from the Solid Waste District, SDD is able to shred 4,000 lbs of documents per hour.  The shredded paper is sold to a reprocessing business for recycling, and the proceeds are distributed to the workers at the facility.
 
The MONCO Secure Document Destruction Center serves as one of the many opportunities that offer people with disabilities the chance to serve the community and work hard for their pay check.  ‘Together’, the future is brighter!  Protect your identity and be environmentally friendly, by participating in this free shredding event.
