General Electric EPISCENTER Groundbreaking

April 14, 2011 - Montgomery County Commissioners Judy Dodge, Dan Foley and Debbie Lieberman were on hand for the GE EPISCENTER groundbreaking on Thursday, April 14, 2011. Montgomery County is providing funding for the project through its Economic Development Initiatives Fund and an Economic Development/Government Equity (ED/GE) grant. The Economic Development Initiatives Fund established with one-time savings from prior years General Fund operating budgets to invest in large, strategic projects that will make a significant impact on the implementation of the Board of County Commissioners Economic Development Strategy. Establishment of the fund and investment in strategic projects was recommended by the General Fund Five Year Financial Plan Committee.
