Emergency Management Exercise

The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management is hosting a 1-day, full-scale exercise on Friday, September 24, 2010.  This exercise will take place at the Showcase Cinema building located at 6751 Loop Road in Centerville from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Exercise participants include the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management, the Dayton Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Centerville Police Department, the Dayton Bomb Squad, Montgomery County Coroner’s Office/Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Public Health-Dayton & Montgomery County, Kettering Regional SWAT, the Washington Township Fire Department, the State Fire Marshall’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Citizens should be aware that this is a controlled, full-scale exercise.  Citizens can expect to see emergency personnel in and around the Loop Road location throughout the day, responding as if this was a real emergency.

This exercise is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the State of Ohio Homeland Security Grant Exercise Program.
