Taxes Due July 16
Montgomery County Real Estate Taxes are due Friday, July 16, 2010.

Taxpayers can pay their tax bills with cash, check or credit card at the Montgomery County Treasurer’s Office. The Treasurer’s website, www.mctreas.org/treasurer, provides a link to pay by electronic check or by credit card. All electronic check and credit card payments are subject to a convenience fee.

A payment sent by mail is considered paid on time as long as it is postmarked (not metered) on or before the due date of July 16. Online payments are considered paid on time if the payment process is completed by 11:59 PM on July 16.

A 5% penalty will be applied to all Second Half 2009 tax charges that are paid on July 17, 2010 through July 25, 2010. Beginning July 26, 2010, a 10% penalty will be applied to all Second Half 2009 tax charges that have not been paid.

Regular business hours for the Treasurer’s office are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
