Inspections Curtailed March 22 & 23, 2010 Due to Continuing Education Training

On March 22 and 23, 2010, all of Montgomery County Building Regulations certified staff will be attending an annual continuing education conference in Dayton, Ohio.  During that time, no inspections will be conducted.  If you have inspection needs around that time, please schedule them for this week, or you will have to schedule them for Wednesday, the 24th at the earliest.

All building code enforcement staff is required by the Ohio Board of Building Standards to attend at least 30 hours of continuing education in every three year certification renewal cycle.  With our efforts to provide our staff with required training in as cost efficient manner as possible, we are taking advantage of the fact that the annual Ohio Building Officials Association is partnering this year with the Miami Valley Building Officials Council to hold its annual conference in Dayton.  This will allow our staff to participate in a wide variety of accredited training at the local level, without incurring travel or lodging expenses.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.  If you have any emergency inspection needs during those two days, contact our office at 225-4622, and they will relay your concerns to the appropriate staff.
