As part of National County Government Week, the Montgomery County Solid Waste District held an open house on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at its south location, 2550 Sandridge Drive in Moraine, Ohio.

This year's theme for National County Government Week is "Greening Our Future."

The Montgomery County Solid Waste District provides a variety of recycling, recovery, reuse, waste reduction and litter prevention programs for the community, schools and businesses of Montgomery County.

The Open House gave citizens a behind-the-scenes look at the Recycling Resource Center, the Montgomery County Materials Reuse Facility and the Recycling Canopy.
