Tire Buyback Event a Big Success
On Saturday, September 21, 2013, Montgomery County Environmental Services held a first of its kind Tire Buyback Event at Welcome Stadium in Dayton. Preliminary numbers show that almost 1,600 (1,591) vehicles came through with more than 15,000 tires recycled...that's about 180 tons of tires!!

Thank you to Montgomery County Environmental Services, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the City of Dayton, Dayton Police Department, Rumpke, the Ohio EPA, Public Health-Dayton & Montgomery County, and the citizens of Montgomery County for making this event a big success. Montgomery County residents could bring a maximum of 10 tires at a time and receive $2 per tire.
