Youth Resource Center - December Workshops

The Montgomery County Youth Resource Center is wrapping up December with exciting workshops for youth ages 14 through 24:
 
Ready. Set. Résumé! – Tuesday, December 27, 2016
2 Sessions: 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 20 people per session – Creating a résumé and keeping it up to date is the best way to be ready for the right job opportunity. At this workshop, you will have the opportunity to create or edit a resume that will stand out from the rest. So if you are ready to get that dream job or switch to a new career, let the YRC help you by creating a resume that will ensure you get your foot in the door!
 
Safe Food Handler Level I Employee Training – Wednesday, December 28, 2016
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Lunch provided) – 40 people maximum – If you are interested in working in food service, this course is for you! Safe Food Handler empowers employees as they learn how food becomes unsafe and what their role is in keeping food safe. ServSafe® is the industry standard for food safety education. This class is for youth who want to have an advantage in the food service industry which can be at a restaurant, grocery store, or food bank.  Upon completion of this 4-hour course, the employee will receive a certificate of completion.
 
Math that Matters! – Thursday, December 29, 2016
2 Sessions: 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 20 people per session—Math can be one of the most challenging subjects in school and that is okay! The “Math that Matters!” workshop will help sharpen your math skills and refresh your knowledge on general math concepts. This workshop will also ensure that you are prepared for your next job or collegiate classes.
