Montgomery County Environmental Services is partnering with the Miami Conservancy District, Ohio Water Well Association, Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County and the University of Dayton to host a “Test Your Water” Event.
Courtesy of the Miami Conservancy District, every participant will receive a free nitrate and iron screen. The first 50 participants will receive a free confidential Lead, Arsenic and Copper test.
The “Test Your Water” Event will also feature:
- A well driller and water treatment representative from Ohio Water Well Association
- Representatives from Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County to answer questions on private water systems
- Discounted bacteria test kits for $20; first metal tests $12; each additional metal $4 each
- Courtesy of the Rivers Institute at UD, an interactive Rivermobile will be on display
Residents are asked to fill a 16.9 oz water bottle for screenings. For lead test, take sample after six hours of non-use or first draw in the morning.
Event will be held at the Environmental Lab at 4257 Dryden Road, Moraine 45439 on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
