Board of Elections to Begin Mailing Absentee Ballots on October 12

If you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of your absentee ballot, the Montgomery County Board of Elections wants to remind you that state law has designated October 12, 2016 as the first day ballots can be mailed.

The Secretary of State mailed absentee ballot applications to all registered voters in Ohio.  If you did not receive an application and live in Montgomery County, please visit www.mcboe.org and complete the application, print it, sign the application and mail it to the Montgomery County Board of Elections.

Also, the Montgomery County Board of Elections is encouraging citizens to avoid the potential long lines on Election Day and vote early for the November 8, 2016 General Election.

Early voting will take place at the Montgomery County Board of Elections, 451 W. Third Street in Dayton.  There will be FREE parking for early voters.  Public parking is available in the County Parking Garage located at 40 Vista View Drive in Dayton.

If you are not registered to vote, you must do so at least 30 days before the election.  The deadline to register to vote in the November 8th General Election is October 11, 2016.  On October 11, you may register to vote until 9 p.m. at the Montgomery County Board of Elections.
