• A 5% penalty is applied to all First Half 2007 tax charges that are paid between
  February 14, 2008 and February 22, 2008.
• A 10% penalty is applied to all First Half 2007 tax charges that have not been
  paid by February 22, 2008.

• A 5% penalty is applied to all 2007 tax and penalty charges that are paid
  between July 17, 2008 and July 25, 2008.
• A 10% penalty is applied to all 2007 tax and penalty charges that have not
  been paid by July 25, 2008.

• 5.33% interest is added to all charges brought into the 2007 tax year from prior
  tax years that remain unpaid after July 31, 2008. Interest does not apply to
  unpaid 2007 tax year charges.
• All parcels that have unpaid charges as of August 1, 2008, will be considered for the tax lien sale held in November 2008. Parcels with unpaid current year taxes that have unredeemed tax liens sold from prior years may have current year taxes sold immediately, without bid or notification process, at 18% interest.

December 1, 2008

• 2.67% interest is added for all unpaid amounts that remain due as of December
  1, 2008. This includes any First or Second Half 2007 taxes and penalties that
  remain unpaid, as well as any past due amounts from previous tax years.

Pay on Time to Avoid Penalty

Payment sent by mail is considered paid on time as long as it is postmarked (not metered) on or before the due date.

Online payments are considered paid on time if the payment process is completed by 11:59 PM on the due date.  In order to ensure the online payment process is complete, we recommend you pay at least two (2) days in advance of the due date.
