The Law Office of the Public Defender operates to defend citizens who are accused of a criminal offense and who are at risk for going to jail. This includes Felonies, Misdemeanors, Preliminary Hearings, Extraditions, and Juvenile Delinquency. We also handle some Children's Services cases, some child support contempt cases, and we can assist with reductions in child support. We don't handle divorces, child custody, bankruptcies, employment disputes, collections, Landlord/Tenant, or other non-criminal defense work. Agencies that might be able to offer assistance are:
