    Readoption After Foreign Adoption

     
    Criteria for Readoptions  
    • Minor must have been previously adopted in another country (IR3 or IR4 Visa)
    • Original foreign adoption decree or certificate of adoption, foreign birth record and any other documents relative to the adoption along with CERTIFIED TRANSLATIONS must be submitted to the Court for authentication and will be returned
    • Passports for parent(s) child(ren) 
    • Certified marriage certificate
    • Certified Copies of Divorce Decrees of Petitioners
    • Copy of Home Study

    • Petition for Adoption
    • Entry Setting Hearing and Ordering Notice
    • Petitioner's Accounts (Preliminary and Final)
    • Final Decree of Adoption
    • Adoption Certificate for Parents
    • Certificate of Adoption
    • Petitioner's Fact Sheet 
     
    Other Requirements
