Replacement of the Third Street Bridge over the Great Miami River

The Montgomery County Engineer’s Office is proposing to replace the Third Street Bridge over the Great Miami River in the City of Dayton.  Construction is scheduled to begin in 2020.  The third and final public informational open house was held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.  Below please find a link to the presentation that was given to explain the planned improvements, show potential effects to the immediate area during construction, present expected detour routes, and show aesthetic and architectural treatment of the bridge.  If you would like to provide comments regarding the proposed improvements, please fill out a comment sheet (see link also provided below) and mail it to Joseph Dura at the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office by December 16, 2016.  See the comment sheet for more details.  Finally, you can also find answers below to frequently asked questions as well as a handout explaining the Ohio Department of Transportation’s responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act, otherwise known as NEPA.
