Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith took the oath of office for his fifth term Wednesday morning, March 5th at Sinclair Community College’s Charity Earley Auditorium. Keith is the 2nd longest serving auditor in the history of Montgomery County.
The Honorable Barbara P. Gorman, Presiding Judge of the Common Pleas Court administered the oath of office to Keith and his staff. The ceremony was part of the Auditor’s employee appreciation breakfast.
During this next term, Keith said he plans to continue making the Auditor’s Office more open and accessible with continued dedication to public service and innovation.
“The efforts we make to engage the public and to encourage people to be better informed and to be more involved are critical to making what we do meaningful and effective to the people and the community we serve,” said Keith. “The Montgomery County Auditor’s Office has a well-earned reputation for getting big things done. Over the next four years, let us resolve to get even bigger things done.”
Auditor Keith has over 30 years of experience with an extensive background in public service and government finance. Keith is the former president of the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio and was named as Ohio’s Outstanding County Auditor in 2012.
