Karl Keith, Montgomery County Auditor, was recently elected Vice President to the County Auditors Association of Ohio (CAAO). He will serve a one-year term in 2012 and is in line to become President of the state organization in 2013.
The CAAO includes all 88 Ohio County Auditors. It was established to promote and protect the interests of the taxpayers of Ohio and to improve the administration of county government. Among other activities, the association works with the Ohio General Assembly to offer legislative initiatives that assist County Auditors in carrying out their duties.
Keith is currently serving in his third term as Montgomery County Auditor having been re-elected in 2010. In addition to his upcoming service as CAAO Vice President, Keith additionally serves on the organization’s Property Tax and Valuation Committee as well as the Future Directions Committee. Keith was also recognized as a Distinguished County Auditor and received the State Auditor’s “Making Your Tax Dollars Count” award in 2010.
