CAAO Elects Auditor Keith 2nd Vice President

The County Auditors Association of Ohio (CAAO) recently elected Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith as 2nd Vice President.  He will serve a one-year term in 2011 and is in line to become President of the state organization in 2013.

The CAAO includes all 88 Ohio County Auditors.  It was established to promote and protect the interests of the taxpayers of Ohio and to improve the administration of county government.  Among other activities, the association works with the Ohio General Assembly to offer legislative initiatives that assist County Auditors in carrying out their duties.

In addition to his service as 2nd Vice President, Keith Chairs the CAAO Conference Planning Committee, is Vice Chair of the Property Tax and Valuation Committee, serves on the CAAO Future Directions Committee and the CAAO Weights and Measures Committee. He was recognized as a Distinguished County Auditor and received the State Auditor’s “Making Your Tax Dollars Count” award in 2009.
