Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith is a recipient of the "Distinguished County Auditor Award" presented by the County Auditor's Association of Ohio (CAAO).  This award recognizes county auditors who have completed over 100 hours of continuing education during their term in office.

Keith received the award from CAAO President Doug Greene on June 9th at the CAAO summer conference.  CAAO Executive Director Fran Lesser noted, "When you think of all the time constraints on county auditors, it is quite an achievement to earn 100 hours of continuing education."

Keith earned his continuing education in a wide variety of topics including Standards of Mass Appraisal, Technical Issues in County Audits, Certified Public Records Training, Ethics and Substance Abuse.  "I'm pleased to be recognized with this award," said Auditor Keith,  "Continuing education helps me be a better auditor.  I put everything I learn toward improving our public service and performance."
