Dog Licenses Available at 30 Area Locations

Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith would like to remind residents that it is time to renew their dog’s license. Dog licenses can be easily purchased from 30 locations conveniently placed around Montgomery County.

Each year, between December 1st through January 31st, dog owners must register their dogs to ensure a safe trip home if their dog is lost, stolen or missing. The regular cost for an unspayed or unneutered dog license is $24.00 while the fee for a spayed or neutered dog license is $20.00.

The Auditor’s office provides many easy opportunities to purchase a license. Dog licenses are available to be bought from 30 locations around Montgomery County in addition to being purchased online at www.mcohio.org/dogs.

Several vendors or outposts around the county are participating in selling dog licenses, such as the government centers of Centerville, Englewood, Germantown, Huber Heights, Miami Township, Moraine, and Oakwood.

Many area pet supply stores and veterinarian offices are also selling dog licenses. A full list of participating licensing partners can be found at www.mcohio.org/dogs.

All license fees support the work of the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center, which rescues and cares for our community’s lost and homeless pets. Every year, the Animal Resource Center cares for over 10,000 animals and licenses over 70,000 dogs.

For questions regarding the purchase of dog licenses, please call the Auditor’s office at 937-225-4314.
