Project Description

Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) relocated water around the north side of the bridge to get it out of way of the new bridge, which is located on Stroop Rd. between Robertann Dr. and Pobst Dr. Approximately 350' - 380' of water main (12" pipe replacing the current 10" pipe), was installed using Horizontal Directional Drilling. It crossed under a sanitary sewer and the OEPA has approved the lining of the sanitary to allow water to cross below.  MCES lined about 264' of 18" concrete sanitary sewer. This was completed before the county engineer began bridge construction on August 1, 2017. The bridge is scheduled to close on September 14 and is exepcted to re-open on or before December 31 (weather permitting).
