Montgomery County Environmental Services is building a new Operations Center on the campus of its Solid Waste Transfer Station to provide upgraded offices and locker rooms for staff. The new Operations Center will provide centralized staff facilities while bringing supervision and staff under one roof to enhance training and communications opportunities. The facility will also provide new electrical power for the entire Solid Waste campus as well as back up emergency power with a new communications network utilizing digital camera security and building automation systems. The facility incorporates Green concepts to bring natural light into the structure and will be a LEED facility.Update: As of June 2018, construction is under way.

Status: The project began in January 2018 and is expected to finish in May 2019.
