Foundation Drain Disconnect Program

MIPPTo prevent sewer backups, Montgomery County Environmental Services sponsors the Foundation Drain Disconnect Program, which provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance to homeowners to help protect your home. Homeowners who have a living area or basement located below the ground may be eligible for the program.

Typical eligible plumbing work and improvements may include:

    1. installing plumbing and valves to prevent backups;
    2. disconnecting all downspouts, stairwell, floor, foundation, and sump drains from the

        sanitary sewer;
    3. or installing a sump pump and wet well.

If you would like to know more, you can download a program application packet or contact the Foundation Drain Disconnect Program Coordinator at (937) 781-2695.
