Wyse Rd. Lift Station & Force Main

Ghent Bridge Water Main Replacement
At a Glance: The 6-inch water main under the Ghent Ave. bridge in Kettering is being replaced with an 8-inch water main during the city’s bridge reconstruction project.

Woodland Hills Water Main Replacement (Phase 2)
At a Glance: This project is the second phase of four (4) projects that will replace all of the aging water mains in the Woodland Hills neighborhood of Harrison Township.

  Stroop Bridge Replacement
At a Glance: Montgomery County Environmental Services relocated water around the north side of the bridge to get it out of way of the new bridge, which is located on Stroop Rd. between Robertann Dr. and Pobst Dr.

Miami Shores Lift Station Improvements
At a Glance:
Montgomery County Environmental Services is currently in the beginning stages of design and will upsize and replace an existing sanitary sewer along Vance Rd. and Pinnacle Rd.

Moraine (Vance Rd. & Pinnacle Rd.)
Status:
The project is expected to begin in July 2018 and finish in December 2019.

  Property Demolition and Asbestos Removal
At a Glance: Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES)
recently acquired a property adjacent to the Western Regional Water Reclamation Facility. A Phase One Environmental Site Assessment was performed in 2016. MCES is currently in the process of conducting several stages of abandonment and demolition of structures and utilities found on the property. MCES is now turning its attention to demolishing the residence and disposing of subsequent construction materials in an environmentally conscious manner.

Erosion Control (Phase 2)
At a Glance: This is a county-wide project that is currently in the design phase. Depending on funding, it is scheduled to last 5 years. The project will focus on stream crossing repairs where either sanitary sewer, water mains, or both have been installed and then erosion has caused adverse impacts to infrastructure. This project will fix the erosion to ensure the safety of water and sewer lines.

  Concrete Tank Rehabilitation
At a Glance:
Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) is
assessing the concrete structures throughout the Eastern Regional Water Reclamation Facility. The study will identify deterioration, cracking, and/or spalling of concrete throughout the plant, in conjunction with an overall facilities replacement or rehabilitation program. Results from the study will allow MCES to undertake necessary infrastructure repairs and ensure occupational safety.

In-progress. The second and final phase of concrete inspections are scheduled to happen in November 2017.

Hilton, Glenbeck, Gaylord and West Water Main Replacement
At a Glance:
Montgomery County Environmental Services will replace water mains on Gaylord Ave. between West Ave. and Dorothy Ln.; West Ave. between Gaylord Ave. and Wiles Drive; Hilton Dr. between Cardington Rd. and Constance Ave.; and Glenbeck Ave. between Hilton Dr. and South Dixie Ave.

  Grit and Scum Improvement
At a Glance: 
Montgomery County Environmental Services is
replacing Grit and Scum transfer pumps at Eastern Regional Water Reclamation Facility, as well as installing Variable Frequency Drives on other associated pumps.

AB Bridge Replacement – Water Main Relocation
At a Glance:  
Montgomery County Environmental Services is having a short section of 20” water main relocated to be out of the bridge abutment. This work will be done before the bridge is opened to traffic. The County Engineer is replacing the bridge starting in August 2017. The bridge will be closed (just west of McEwen Rd.) for the duration of the bridge replacement.

  Nutt Road Water Main Extension
At a Glance: Washington Township is widening the roadway from School House Park to Clyo Rd.  Within the project a portion of Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) water line is being lowered.  Additionally, approximately 700 feet of 12” water main is being placed to connect MCES' 12” main on either side of a culvert.

Arthur Plat Water Main Replacement (Phase 2)
At a Glance: Montgomery County Environmental Services is replacing 6” water mains on Cadie Ave., Martin Ave., Gipsy Dr., Nomad Avenue, and Cardinal Ave. between N. Dixie Dr. and Keats Dr. with 8” water mains. The paving of the streets will follow the water main replacement.

  Braddock Water Main Replacement
At a Glance: Montgomery County Environmental Services replaced 6” water mains on Braddock St. between Stroop Rd and Olson Dr. and the line on Baylor Ct. with 8” water mains. Now the City of Kettering is doing paving and street work.

Bromfield Water Main Replacement
At a Glance:
Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) is replacing water mains (6'' to 8'') on North and South Bromfield Rd. between Far Hills Ave. and Shroyer Rd. MCES is also replacing a 10” line on Shroyer Rd. with a 12” line.
Location: Kettering
Status: Larger mains have been installed to replace older, smaller mains. Kettering will repave the area in 2018.
  Cushing, Rockhill, and Shroyer Water Main Replacement   
At a Glance: This project was a water main replacement project in Kettering on Cushing Ave., Rockhill Ave., and Shroyer Rd.
