Join Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup (TM) Great American Cleanup 2013

Keep Montgomery County Beautiful invites you to participate in the area’s largest volunteer litter cleanup event – the Great American Cleanup, created by Keep America Beautiful. The Great American Cleanup take place from March 1 to May 31 every year, and involves volunteers and organizations across the Miami Valley.

How Can I Help?
You can participate in a local cleanup. Every year, we partner with the Dayton Dragons baseball team to organize a large-scale cleanup. Visit the Dayton Dragons event page for the event date and more information. FiveRivers MetroParks also hosts an Adopt-A-Park cleanup on Earth Day.

If you would like to organize your own cleanup and 
you already have an area in mind to clean (park, road, alley, neighborhood, playground, vacant lot, etc.), we can get you the supplies and resources you need to make it a success.

How We Can Help

  1. Help with Supplies. We provide trash bags from our national sponsor Glad®, gloves, and (possibly) free litter disposal at our facilities. We also have two cleanup supply trailers available on a first come, first serve basis for groups of five or more people. Get More Information here.
  2. Help with Planning. We can provide assistance in planning your event. We have announcement posters and event planning tips, and we can sometimes assist with picking up the trash bags. We can help make your event a success.
  3. Help with Recognition. We have thank you promotions and special events for our litter cleanup groups.
