This mural of colorful landscapes and the innocence of childhood is proudly displayed in the lobby of the Montgomery County Children Services Administration building. "Reflections of Time" is the creation of native Daytonian and nationally known artist Paul Melia, of Kettering. It chronicles the agency's history from when it was the county children's home to present day.
Within the mural are various portraits of children playing together, children learning, and children with their families. Other images include Dr. Charles Shawen, who donated 19 acres of land to the county to be used for children and the late Montgomery County Sheriff Gary Haines. The Haines Children's Center is a tribute to his legacy of child advocacy.
