MUNICIPAL CAT CONTROL/SHELTERING

Request email notification when page changes E-Notify

There exists in Ohio no law governing stray and roaming cats. There are, however, a number of municipalities that do have ordinances concerning loose and free roaming cats. The Shelter has contracts with the following cities:  Brookville, Centerville, Englewood (Emergency Humane Euthanasia Only), Germantown, Huber Heights, Kettering,  MetroParks (staff only), Miamisburg, Union, Vandalia, and West Carrollton.

Co-pays may apply on a city by city basis. Valid picture ID is required along with proof of residency. For contract cities, residency verification is determined by voter registration. Cats from on-contract addresses are accepted for a $60 per cat fee.
