VOTING HOURS Polls are open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. To find your polling location, use our Polling Location Finder.
REGISTRATION DEADLINES The last day to register to vote is thirty days prior to an election. In some instances, the deadline falls on a day when the offices of the Secretary of State and boards of elections are closed. In those instances, the deadlines are extended, pursuant to R.C.1.14, to the next succeeding day when the offices are open. More information on Voter Registration.
2010 VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES January 4, 2010 for the February 2, 2010 - Special Election April 5, 2010 for the May 4, 2010 - Primary Election July 6, 2010 for the August 3, 2010 - Special Election October 4, 2010 for the November 2, 2010 - General Election
ABSENTEE VOTING DEADLINES Applications by mail for absentee voter ballots must be received by boards of elections by noon three days prior to an election. Board of elections must receive absentee voter ballots in accordance with the following:
- IF A VOTER OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES WHOSE BALLOT MUST BE POST-MARKED NO LATER THAN ELECTION DAY, AND RECEIVED WITHIN 10 DAYS AFTER THE ELECTION
- IF A VOTER FROM WITHIN THE UNITED STATES WHOSE BALLOT MUST BE POST-MARKED NO LATER THAN THE DAY BEFORE ELECTION DAY, AND RECEIVED WITHIN 10 DAYS AFTER THE ELECTION.
