Property Management is responsible for the safekeeping of evidence and found property that comes under the control of the sheriff’s office.  The unit also prepares unclaimed items (excluding guns and illegal contraband) for the county auction, which is held annually in the fall.  Additionally, the unit orders and issues office supplies and uniforms to the sheriff’s employees and is responsible for the annual inventory of property and equipment that the sheriff’s office uses in its daily operations.

Property Management is located on the lower level of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Headquarters Building, 345 West Second Street.  Public parking is not available on the premises.  Property may be released only with proper identification and proof of ownership.
