Annual Progress Reports

2008 FCFC ProgressReptFinal cover

In 1998 the Montgomery County Family and Children First Council released its first annual report, Turning the Curve: Report to the Community on Outcomes and Indicators.  That report was the first in a series of reports designed to monitor regularly our community's progress as we strive to improve the health and well-being of the families, children, adults and neighborhoods of Montgomery County.  In each report the FCFC tracks the progress of selected Community Indicators organized under the six Community Outcomes adopted by the Council.

Our latest Progress Report (2008), released in February 2009, marks the tenth anniversary of our first report.  We recognize that milestone a number of ways, including a joint letter from the four people who have served as the Chair of the Council and a listing of all past Council members.  Mark Friedman, a national consultant whose work inspired the FCFC to adopt the "Results-Based Accountability" approach and to publish these annual reports, wrote a letter of congratulations for the Council.  In addition, the 2008 Report has a chapter for each Community Outcome and each chapter includes the Outcome Team roster, a report on the work of that Outcome Team, updates on the relevant Community Indicators, and a look "Behind the Numbers."   The Report also contains information about a number of other activities: the financial partnership between the FCFC, the Human Services Levy Council and the Montgomery County Commissioners to support local human services programs; the recipient of the Brother Raymond L. Fitz, S.M. Award, chosen for his commitment to protecting and nurturing children and families; the FCFC's support of Ohio's Commitments to Child Well-Being; and the efforts underway to implement the work of the Homeless Solution Policy Board's 10-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness and Reduce Overall Homelessness.
