Courthouse Square, operated by the Board of County Commissioners, is an outdoor entertainment facility located at the corner of Third and Main Streets in the heart of downtown Dayton. Since its dedication in 1974, the Square has been known as THE place to see and be seen.

Affair at the Square sponsors are chosen by lottery. Other events are booked on a first come, first serve basis by calling the Marketing Supervisor at (937) 225-4669. Prospective sponsors must complete an application which is reviewed and approved by the Director of Cultural Facilities and Affairs.

Courthouse Square is open to any organization or individual who wishes to organize an event. Nonprofit groups are permitted to use the Square to promote upcoming events or hold fundraisers. For-profit groups are permitted to use the Square for promotional activities only.

Many different events are held at Courthouse Square every year. From concerts to special events, noontime events and fund-raisers the Square is the place to gather downtown.
