Montgomery County Camps

Montgomery County Parks & Recreation completed another successful summer season.  The recreation department runs summer day camps for ages 3 – 15.  We have a preschool camp (Running Rascals), sports camp (Camp Out Back), nature camp (Camp Thunderbird) and a camp that offers everything (Fisher Park Expedition).  Our summer camp programs have continually increased each summer; in 2005, we had 622 campers; in 2006: 875 and in 2007 we had 941 campers.  We hire college age students to serve as camp counselors; they are thoroughly trained to provide an exciting summer experience for the kids.
