New Courts at Tom Cloud Park

If you have been to Tom Cloud Park recently you will notice the brand new tennis and basketball courts.  Montgomery County Parks & Recreation repaved and resurfaced all 12 of their tennis courts and the entire basketball court area.  These courts have been deteriorating for the past few years and some of the tennis courts were closed due to safety issues.

Paving and re-surfacing began in the spring and finished up late summer.  New fencing, posts, and nets were installed along with improvements to the surrounding grounds area.  The rest room building has been fitted with a new roof, new signs and graffiti resistant paint.  New benches, tree pruning, parking lot paving and seal coating of the tennis court walk path has also contributed to the fresh look of the facility.

Reservations for tennis matches and tournaments will begin mid-November for all area schools.  Tom Cloud Park has 10 courts available for rental at $1.00/court/hour.  Contact Montgomery County Parks & Recreation at 496-7165 for more information.
