Montgomery County JFS Children Services Using Automate System SACWIS to Better Manage Cases
|
Release Date: May 15, 2007
File:
Summary:
Montgomery County became part of a statewide system called the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System or SACWIS. That makes Montgomery County the first metro county in the state to go "live" with SACWIS, a system that enables Children Services to track families from county to county. Under the leadership of Deb Downing, the interim director of Quality Centered Services, Montgomery County becomes the 15th county to go online with SACWIS. The state hopes to have all 88 counties up and running by year's end. Downing says SACWIS will give Children Services staff quick access to reliable data, reduce paperwork and repetitive typing. In addition she notes, because SACWIS can interface with other systems, it will help manage workloads along with providing historical and predictive trend analysis. |
