Sanitary Engineering Department to Host Employee Children at Work

Release Date
: Apr 12, 2007
File:

Summary:
Employees of the Montgomery County Sanitary Engineering Department are bringing their 7 – 15 year old children to work on Thursday, April 26, 2007 to participate in the national Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day event.  The children will experience some of the many careers represented in the day to day operations of Sanitary Engineering.  A day at work will help the children discover the link between what they do now in school and what they can become in the future.  They will have an opportunity to witness first-hand the vital public services that their parents and the staff of Sanitary Engineering provide each day.

In addition, there will be fun water education activities that reinforce the value of water and our responsibility to conserve and protect.  The goal of the event is to create a successful day that strengthens the connection between education and work and relationships between parents and children.
