Celebrate Community Development Week April 9- April 15

Montgomery County, along with the cities of Dayton, Kettering and Fairborn, will celebrate Community Development Week from April 9- April 15.  A celebration event will be held on April 13, 2007 at the Dayton Cultural and RTA Center in Dayton from 10 – 12. 

Approximately 100 people will attend the event with remarks about the Community Development Block Grant being made and comments from HUD, federal, state and local representatives.  This year's theme is "Building Strong Communities".  Community leaders will be providing testimonials about the programs' successes. Also, the Miami Valley Fair Housing Center, CountyCorp, and the Homeownership Center will discuss predatory lending & workout strategies, credit repair, and homeownership opportunities.  Two clients will be on hand to discuss their experiences with these agencies.
