Summary:
At their annual re-organizational meeting today, the Montgomery County Commissioners, Judy Dodge, Dan Foley and Debbie Lieberman, elected Debbie Lieberman to serve as President of the Commission for 2007. "I am thrilled to take on the role of president. After two years on the commission, I know that I have the necessary experience to lead us forward and help keep the commissioners focused on our priorities", said Commissioner Lieberman. "Our initial focus will be on regional cooperation, economic development, the human services levy and quality of life issues. I believe the new commission (Commissioners Dodge and Foley were elected to the commission last November) will bring new energy and excitement to the issues facing the county and our citizens", continued Lieberman.
Commissioner Dan Foley said "Debbie is the clear choice to provide leadership for the commission this year. I am very excited that we have Debbie as a resource as Judy and I begin our service on the commission". Commissioner Dodge commented, "I am pleased that Debbie is going to serve as President this year. We are all very committed to moving the region forward, and she will be a great asset as we begin this journey".
Commissioner Lieberman continues to conduct ´Open Office Hours' every Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome on a first come, first serve basis.
