Montgomery County Probate Court is proud to announce that Judge Alice O. McCollum is
participating in the National Adoption Day Proceedings on Thursday, November 13, 2008.

This local celebration is part of the nationwide effort to call attention to the thousands of foster children waiting for adoption and to celebrate all the families that do adopt. Currently there are more than seven hundred and twenty-one (721) children in Montgomery County that live in foster care with more entering the foster care system each year. Fifty-eight (58) of these children are available for adoption. Many of the children waiting for adoption are part of large sibling groups.
