Last week Commissioner Dan Foley, County Administrator Debbie Feldman, and Commissioners Debbie Lieberman and Judy Dodge hosted the annual BCC Employee Recognition event at Madison Lakes Conference Center.   This event provides the opportunity for employees to be recognized for time of service, perfect attendance, and other special achievements.

• The Montgomery County Auditor provided the Commissioners with an update on the 2008 Reappraisal Project. Montgomery County is required by law to reappraise each parcel of property every six years. Property owners will start receiving notifications of their tentative new values this week. Appraisers will be available at 17 locations around the county by appointment (call 278-3800) for informal hearings with owners to review their tentative values. Final value notices will be mailed in November, 2008.  Additional information can be obtained at www.mcrealestate.org.
